How we rank and why the order can change
This page describes the method we apply. It describes a process, not a set of test results. We do not publish payout times or scores we have not measured.
Published terms
We read the public offer, wagering basis, expiry, and withdrawal rules as the operator writes them.
Payment rails
We record which deposit and withdrawal methods are listed and how each tends to settle in Canada.
Approval vs settlement
We separate operator approval from bank settlement, since only the first is within the casino's control.
Disclosure clarity
We check whether limits, fees, and conditions are stated plainly instead of hidden in dense terms.
What each criterion means
Published terms
The offer is only as good as its conditions. We read the wagering multiple, what it applies to, game weighting, maximum bet during a bonus, expiry, and any maximum win cap. A clear, fair set of terms scores better than a large headline number tied to heavy conditions.
Payment rails
We list which rails an operator supports for both deposits and withdrawals, and note common Canadian constraints such as Interac limits or card refund delays. A rail you can both fund and cash out with matters more than a long list you cannot use.
Approval versus settlement
We keep these two apart everywhere. An operator can control how fast it approves and releases a payout. It cannot control how a bank or network settles the money. We judge the operator on the first, and we tell readers plainly that the second depends on their own rail.
Disclosure clarity
Good operators state their limits, fees, and cut-off practices where a player can find them. We reward clarity because hidden conditions are where value quietly disappears.
What we do not do
We do not claim first-hand testing unless a named reviewer with a documented process has carried it out and we can show the evidence. The operators listed on the home page are placeholder examples for the layout, so the current order reflects presentation only. When these become real operators, the order will follow the evidence, and any change will be recorded through our Corrections process.
Keeping it current
Offers move often. When the site is active we plan to re-check volatile terms at least weekly and run a broader review at least monthly. We show an updated date only after a real review, and we do not roll dates forward automatically.
This method describes work we intend to run in production. Before publishing real recommendations, confirm that the process here matches the process actually performed. See our Editorial Policy for the source hierarchy and evidence standard.
